Thirteen the Unlucky Engine

Joel/Joey, more commonly known for his number '13', was a spare engine from the Mainland and was brought to help Donald and Douglas, who were feeling overworked. However, he proved to be very unlucky as he caused delays, got hit by a land-slide, and damaged his firebox which got knocked out of place.
Sir Topham Hatt sent him to the Works and he came back to Sodor with a bigger firebox and a proper cab which cured his so called unluckiness. Shortly after he was sent back to the Mainland.

'13' was purchased by the Fat Controller shortly after the discovery of Great Waterton to help with the final renovations and is now a permenant member of the Extended Steam Team and a hard working engine at that. He runs the yard in Great Waterton, shunting trucks and carriages and makes sure that engines passing to and fro are on time. He rarely leaves the yard which is why it is often thought of as quite lucky to see him away from his place of work.
