Ballast 03 spline 01

A thin line of ballast as laid beside the track by an MoW ballast hopper. The brown ballast matches ElStoko's 'Protrack NSWGR dirty stone' tracks. It will become snow-covered if above the environmental snowline altitude.
Lay the spline with the steep side of the pile against the outside face of a rail. Each side of the track requires a separate instance of the spline, so it can be used with track of any gauge.
LOD on the 4m-long repeat unit: 96 triangles to 50m, 12 tris to 400m, 4 tris to 1000m, culled at 1000m. 1 texture material per mesh. Created in 3DS Max 2009. The texture was derived from one of ElStoko's texture images, with his permission. Made for Davie_UCF.
