Multi Level Layout

The Multi Level Layout is inspired by and based on a model train layout found in Marklin's 1984/85 HO catalog.
Ever since I have seen that layout I wanted to build it myself. First I did not have the money to buy all the material, later I did not have the space to build it in. Today I have Blender and Trainz ;-)

The layout (in HO scale) of this route fits on a 350cm by 130cm base. My version is made in 'Real scale' and is fitten on a 720m by 240m base, more than double then you would expect with a 1:87 ratio. Reason for this is to give the layout a more open look and to get the grades of the ramps down to 2%.

The track work is about 80% the same as the original.
