Demondrille: The NSWGR South
This route is a virtual real scale model of the NSWGR Main South between Mossvale and Bethungra, and the now closed cross country line linking Demondrille to Blayney on the Main West. It is set in the 1960's, before the closure of many of the rural branchlines, and also includes the two branches linking Grenfell and Eugowra to Cowra, and the Galong-Boorowa Branch. Total route length is over 600 kms.
The route was built in TRS2019 incorporating updates/restorations by FootplatePhil of the following routes, with permission (and thanks) ...
'Southlines' by tomtre
'Lines to the Lachlan' by NSWGR_46class
'Boorowa Branch' by P.Gibbons
'Picton to Goulburn' by P. Gibbons
'Joppa Junction to Binalong' by P.Gibbons
'Bethungra Spiral' by P.Gibbons
'WeddinNSW' by FootplatePhil

The creators intent has been to use only content included with the game (TS2019 base + TANE Assets pack, without any optional/regional route downloads), or content available to registered Trainz users for free via the DLS. If you find that an asset which doesn't meet this criteria has snuck in please let FootplatePhil know.
There are several AI driven 'lineside' demonstration sessions also available on the DLS. These sessions are set across the period 1959 to 1967. In addition to show casing the various rolling stock typically in use on the lines modelled, the sessions reflect the continuing changes in railway infrastructure over that decade. As a result, some infrastructure appears only in the relevant sessions, and is not included in the 'base' route. Therefore, for the 'full' Demondrille, you should also download these sessions...
'Demondrille: 1959, Southern Steam'
'Demondrille: 1963, Yass Junction'
'Demondrille: 1967, Harvest Gold'
'Demondrille: Base Session'
I make no claims about the operational accuracy of any of these sessions! If you would like to set up your own session I suggest you start by cloning the 'Base' session. This includes some basic session controls, such as those required for turntable operations. It also includes the buildings and infrastructure still in place in the early 1960's.
What's changed in this release? :
Version 1.0: New Route based on a merge of 'WeddinNSW 5.3', 'Joppa Junction to Binalong', and part of 'Picton to Goulburn', and with a new connecting module representing Goulburn.
The northern end of 'Demondrille:The NSWGR South' is just south of Mossvale, and the route can be merged with 'Illawarra South Coast NSW Australia' by Grazlash and Taggy. It can also be merged at the southern end with their 'ARTC NSW Main South - VR North-East' route.
The original naming of my WeddinNSW route was based on the branch line it first modelled (the Grenfell to Koorawatha branch runs through the NSW shire of Weddin). However the route has grown way beyond its original scope, and is now a development of the work of a number of route builders. I have decided its time the name reflects that. This latest release takes its name from the junction of the Main South and the cross country line to Blayney on the Main West. Demondrille is the approximate centre of the new route.
Background:
'Demondrille V1.0' is nominally set in the mid 1950's to late 1960's, when both steam and diesel operated simultaneously. The model probably presents a rosier picture than is strictly accurate. At that time government spending on infrastructure and maintenance was low, and the rail network was looking a little run down. While innovations in grain handling provided an economic boost to the rural rail network, and new diesel locos and bulk grain silos were being introduced to handle it, general rail traffic had declined in recent years, due to com
