SD45 Utah Railway ex-SP

Utah Railway leased 11 SD45's and 3 SD39's from SP to replace the leased UP units which in turn had replaced its fleet of Alcos. The SD45's were re# 9140-9150, the same as their ex-SP numbers except for 9140 (SP 8958), 9142 (8830), and 9145 (8936).

SP_SD45

The SD45 was a landmark locomotive for General Motors Electro-Motive Division (EMD). Under the hood it packed a 20-cylinder prime mover, at the time the largest ever used in a locomotive, capable of generating a whopping 3600 horsepower. Produced at the zenith of the horsepower race between EMD and its competitors, the SD45 was king in terms of its popularity; sales of other builders 3600 horsepower units fell far short of EMDs 1260 units sold between 1965 and 1971.
This is a low poly model (4400) of a SD45 by James Hunt. Feel free to re-skin it as long as credit is given, however at this point I can't be 100% sure of the outcome of re-skinning it.
