alpine tunnel route Feb 28TH 2024
IMPORTANT unless you have the topgraphic program TRANSDEM installed , you will find a large number of assets missing with the user number 2:126773:, these are transdem items by geophil, you can ignore these as they will not affect the route. you will probably need to also install many of the DLC packs that come with TraIinz 2019/22. Dont blame me for this, its NV3s fault as it is almost impossible to create a freeware route without using some DLC packaged route content . This route is a WIP, about 95% completed, which contains the DSP&P /C&S line between Ohio City to Trout Creek pass , including the fabled Alpine Tunnel and the CM and DRG tracks through Buena Vista and Trout creek pass. The history of these lines is too complex to go into detail here, but you can run this as an 1880s to 1910 route , with services by either the 3 foot Denver South Park and Pacific, the Denver Leadville and Gunnison , the Colorado Southern, the Denver Rio Grande or the Denver Rio Grande and Western rr. There is also the standard gauge Colorado Midland running between Wild Horse and Bath ( summit of Trout Creek Pass. Big thanks go to Pitkin for the Dem, Rico for his many models and Deane for the models of the silver ingots. Thumbs up to Crisger for allowing me to use some of his Rollins pass assets and a big thanks to all creators who provided the assets for this route. RIP Clam 1952 , thanks for your invaluable help in providing me with the models for the processing mill at St Elmo , fare thee well Malcolm. Roling stock and locos for most of these lines can be found on the DLS or https://trainz-forge.com big thanks to Dan for his superb models. A thread on the TRAINZ FORUM, in the freeware section, named Alpine Tunnel will provide more information
