Maine Central #470 3 Chime Whistle
Maine Central #470 is a 4-6-2 Pacific type from Downeast Maine, often on the point of the Bar Harbor Express. This whistle is a replica of 470's Lonergan 3 chime, which has a deep tone. I believe it is a cross between a 6 inch Crosby or Lunkenheimer 3 chime whistle and a Hancock long bell 'steamboat' whistle.
