MAS BR Modern Image Litter Bin
A Standard British Rail platform litter bin of the Modern Image era. Although they first appeared at flagship modern stations (the reference shot I've been using is of Coventry, just after its 1960s rebuild) their use at major stations was abruptly curtailed by the major security situation in the 1970s. Just like their mesh forbears, however, they could still be found in the further-flung reaches of the network years after they'd disappeared from the major centres
