This is a double track interactive direct lift span. This is a rare type of bridge.
Basically a non-lift span converted into a lift span. Direct lift means its strictly gears not cables as
with most vertial lift spans.They are rarely longer then 100 ft and the amount of lift is pretty much limited
to 30 to 50 ft. This is based on one out west which only opens once or twice a month.
