5000 Class QRN Eagle

This version of the 5000 Class is very detailed, hence it has 4 Levels of Detail (LODs) for easier operation on lesser specced PCs. This is a TS12 specific ONLY version, there is a TS09/10 version of this locomotive on the DLS. Different scripts in both, that is why.

There are several different VinnyBarb's AN Class engine specs on the DLS which are working with the 5000 Class to try to suit your special needs. Just exchange and modify the Kuid number above.

One of the most modern units build by UGL, the 5000 Series, these locomotives are used primarily on commodies and mineral freight services by Queensland National Rails. You will find all its specifications online when looking for 'UGL Rail C44 ACi'.

Length of 22.6m, mass of 134-139 tons, the 5000 Class, like its sister Classes, is one of the most modern up to date (if not THE most modern) of the current Australian Diesel Electric locomotives.

There are 32 throttle-notches specified in the AN engine specs included here, feel free to change that in it to 16 if you so desire (used only for cab use). I personally like the 32 notches. Also, read the enclosed 'ReadMe' text for more workings of this Class.
