Lighthouse St. Augustine

The St. Augustine Lighthouse is a black and white lighthouse with a red lantern located on Anastasia Island near the town of St. Augustine at the end of Lighthouse Ave. near Florida Highway A1A. The lighthouse has two black stripes, one on the southwest side and one on the northeast side and two white stripes, one on the southeast side and one on the northwest side that spiral upwards making one and a half rotations towards the lantern room. The only other lighthouse in America with this paint scheme is the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in North Carolina, but its pattern is rotated by 45 degrees. This lighthouse is used as a private aid to navigation. Its First-Order Fresnel Lens still rotates 24 hours a day, though the light only turns on at night. It has a slow-moving 30-second flash cycle.
