A coach type possibly used by the Harton Coal Company of South Shields.
Second hand coach stock was used on their private passenger line from South Shields to Whitburn Colliery.
The passange service known locally as the Marsden Rattler commenced March 1888 the last a special ran on 7th Sept 1968:
