V & T 24ft Flat Car; 1902+

V&T 24' flatcar after 1902 renumbering. At this time, there were 24 cars remaining in good enough shape to be upgraded with grab irons, knuckle couplers, and air brakes.
In 1912, only four 24' cars remained - they were renumbered to the first 4 slots - 121-127; odd:
121: retired 1916
123: still in service in 1938
125: converted to tunnel car No 54 (3rd) 1923; sold 1938; presumed destroyed in movie.
127: still in service 1938.
Average weight is about 14300 lbs. 15 ton capacity.
