A 24 foot flat car used on the Virginia and Truckee Railroad.
Kimball Manufacturing Company of San Francisco built almost 90 24' flats for the Virginia and Truckee between 1872 and 1873.
Paint records are non-existent, but these cars were likely painted red in 1880.
Average weight is about 13500 lbs. 10 ton capacity.
